Honor Code Office Vision & Mission

Vision Statement

Our vision is to foster a community where students experience the fullness of their BYU education by practicing a commitment to excellence in behavior and by upholding the highest standards of academic and personal integrity through fulfilling their commitment to the principles of the Honor Code.

Mission Statement

As Brigham Young University’s student conduct office and in accordance with BYU’s Mission and Aims, we help to develop students of character who make and keep their commitment to the Honor Code.

By engaging students in the learning process, we will help them:

  • Understand the principles of the Honor Code
  • Identify the benefits and blessings of honoring their commitment to the Honor Code
  • Evaluate one’s behavior in regard to the associated Honor Code principle
  • Recommit to live in accordance to the principles of the Honor Code
