CURRENTLY ON MISSION DEFERMENT STATUS

Students who are admitted to and are returning to BYU but are on mission deferment need to choose the “Complete my mission deferment for BYU” option in the endorsement system, regardless of the amount of time that has transpired since the deferment was placed. This is because they need an interview from their bishop and stake president. Mission Presidents have the ability to complete the endorsement for both the bishop and stake presidency levels. For most students, once the endorsement is complete, the mission deferment hold should automatically be removed within 48 hours. Please contact Enrollment Services if the deferment hold remains in place longer than 48 hours.
